Minority Scholarship for Dental Assisting Students

1. Student must be enrolled in the Dental Assisting Program at St. Louis Community College
2. Student must demonstrate financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. The student(s) must demonstrate unmet financial need under the standard Federal needs analysis formula. Student(s) may also be Pell grant or A plus eligible.
3. Preference given to student in a minority group (African American, Hispanic or Latino, American Indian, Alaska Native, Asian American or non-traditional student (age 26 or older).
4. Student must have completed Module 2 with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 and be in good academic standing.
5. Student must submit a 500-word typed essay on how this scholarship would benefit them.
6. Student must include a letter of recommendation from a college instructor.
7. Students who are selected as recipients of the scholarship will be required to send a note of thanks to the donor as a condition of receiving the award.
